Good morning! * So, as most of you may know, I have had some weird technical issues this week.
Here are a couple of things that should answer most of your questions.
1. Grades are in Focus. If you are unable to view your grades, please give some time for the system to reboot. There are a lot of grades going in and now that we have moved to full on Distance Learning, the system may be adjusting.
2. If you are turning in work through Teams, it may say "late" but it is NOT late. I just had to put in a date, so don't stress.
3. I will be trying to be available as much as possible this week. Please keep in mind that I am still overcoming the technical difficulties. Also, my husband has his job as an essential, which means I am usually here with my 1-year-old son most days by myself. So please be patient, as I may be attending to him as on most days.
Good afternoon! I am available from 1:00-3:00 pm today. Zoom meeting is set for tomorrow, 2:00-3:00pm for any questions. I am in the process of changing the files to where you are able to type and edit as needed.
I will have to postpone our Zoom meeting to next week! I completely forgot I scheduled a routine doctors appointment for today at 2:30. Normally, I would have moved the appointment, but unfortunately, I could not do so this go around.
I will answer as many emails or questions as I can until about 2:00 today. And I will still reply when I can after. Thank you for patience and cooperation.
Have a wonderful day! I will have Weeks 5 & 6 posted this evening.
I am now available from 1:00-3:00pm. By 3:00, I will have review for Week #4 up.
Tomorrow, at 2:00 pm I will be hosting a Zoom meeting! This meeting will be simply just to check-in with me, to ask any questions and/or chat, or just drop in and say "Hi". I will be holding the meeting for 1 hour. It is NOT MANDATORY, but if you are able to drop in for a moment, I would love to see you!
The details: Meeting ID: 273-186-3041 Psd: Gochenaur
Can't wait to see you all tomorrow.
Writing Prompt of the Day: - List 5 facts about yourself that people don't know.
Thank you to everyone who made sure to check in with me for attendance. If you have not done so, all you have to do is send me a quick message through Remind or Email. Do not stress! Just make sure you make contact with me so I can mark you as Present.
I hope you guys are adjusting to our distance learning. REmember, if you have any additional questions, or need to know how to find the packets, make sure to click on the "Distance Learning" tab at the top.
If you need to sign up for "Remind", the information is under "Contact" tab. There you will also find my email.
Miss you all! I will have Packet #4 up for review by Friday! I will also make sure to have Week 5 and 6 available by Friday as well.
P.S. - I will be on Mrs. LaCoste's Zoom Meeting today at 1:30, so if you have any questions or just want to tell us "hi", pop on and join! Get in touch with Mrs. LaCoste for the Zoom details, since she is running the meeting.
Love you all!
Writing Prompts for the Day: - Have you ever been exploring? Where did you go, and what were you looking for? What did you find? - What do you consider to be boring? (Something besides quarantine, please!)
I had a little technical difficulty yesterday and this morning loading up Week 3 review! I am hoping to have that up before 3:00 today!
Please let me know if you have any questions, concerns, or if you just want to say hi! I miss you all!
Writing Prompts of the Day! - Have you ever experienced deja vu (a feeling that you have already experienced the present situation)? What was it about? - Pick one of the following careers: music DJ, sushi chef or firefighter. This will be your job for the next 3 months. Why did you choose it, and what benefit do you think you will gain from it? - Write a "thank you" note to a special person in your life. Thank them for being in your life rather than for something they did.
I hope you all are having a great day and staying safe!
Just a few things: In a few, I will be posting the answer review for Week 3.
Make sure to be working on Week 4. Week 4 and 3 are due on Friday! We are encouraging paperless, so please try to email me your work or submit through Remind or Teams. Remember, you may send it in file form, picture form or scanned. Just as long as I can see your answers!
Miss you all! I am hoping to post a video very soon. Any question, please message me.
Writing Prompt of the Day: What was your favorite toy 5 years ago?
Happy Friday! I hope you have been keeping yourself busy with school and other fun activities.
You should be finished with your Week #3 packets and getting ready to start your 4th Week. Or, you are already finished with both, great. And if you are not.... still great! The great thing about distance learning is you can absolutely pace yourself.
Monday, I will have a review of Week #3 up. Have a wonderful weekend!
Writing Prompt of the Day: Do you find skeletons to be scary or interesting?
Good afternoon! I am now available for any questions you may have,
The most frequently asked question so far of the week is "How can I type into the document? Some areas will not let me."
This is just how the document is formed. Some of the graphs you see I could not convert to be typed into. So for those parts, you just need to have answers on a document. For annotation, you may take notes on a separate document as well.
I hope that answers some questions!
Writing Prompt of the Day: If you could become any actor, writer, or singer, who would you become and why?
Coordinate: Based off the couples matching in red, I am going to assume to “coordinate” means to literally match, or relate to in some way.
Interrogate: Based off of the picture, this person looks like they are being investigated, almost to the point where it is a lot. So I am going to guess that this person is being asked a lot of different questions.
Accuse: In this picture, the girl seems to be angry, yelling and point fingers. So I’m going to assume she is trying to blame someone for doing some.
Did anyone else have a different interpretation? Let me know!
I am now available. I am about to post a vocabulary review!
Any questions or comments, you may send via remind, email or website.
Writing Prompt of the Day: Create a superhero for your current city. What would they fight? Describe their appearance, name and special powers. You have just bought a sailboat, and you have to name it. What would you name it? Where is the first place you'd sail to? Happy Writing!
Good afternoon! I hope you are all doing well. I am now available for any questions!
I will be posting a review of Vocabulary this afternoon! I will send details when it is published.
Writing prompt for the day: You are planning the dinner party of your dreams there are eight chairs. You can invite seven other people (anyone sill alive). Who will fill the chairs and what will make this dinner interesting?
- Finish this sentence: "I would love to jump into a pile of ..." - Create a new character for any series (Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Spongebob, Riverdale, etc.,). Write up a brief description of them and how they would change a major event in the story. - If you knew it would be published, name someone (alive or dead) who biography you would love to write. You would have full access to their life.
Remember, writing prompts are optional, but so much fun!
I am now available. I will be answering any questions or emails. I will also be posting a document that reviews the vocabulary. I am having weird technical difficulties with my camera at the moment, so I cannot record my Flip Grids. Hopefully, I will have this fixed tonight.
Writing Prompt of the day: If you could be a farmer, what would you farm and why?
I hope everyone is doing well. I miss you all dearly and I hope you had a safe and happy weekend.
My video capabilities are a little off today. Having some technical difficulty. However, I am about to upload a review sheet for week one. Tomorrow, I should be able to have Vocabulary recordings up and running.
And now, for the writing prompt!
Think of someone who has a positive influence on your life and write them a letter!
I am available. I do have my little guy with me today, so I may be a little slower to respond. However, I am here!
I am currently in the process of recording FlipGrids for Week 2 Packet! Here is how the videos will go: Video #1- Monday - Review of Week 1 Video #2- Tuesday - Vocabulary and Theme Review Video #3 - Wednesday - Reading of Story Video #4 - Thursday - No Video Video #5 - Review of Questions.
FlipGrid information is in the post below!
Now, for the writing prompts! 1 - Outline a "mission statement" for your life.
2 - Do you think dinosaurs and humans could coexist today? What would make that possible or impossible?
